Acupuncture, Homeopathy and Chiropractic

Acupuncture/Homeopathy/Chiropractic

We take great pride in working together with you to provide the health care for you pet that best suit you and your pet and as such three of our permanent vets have undertaken further study in order to incorporate these treatment options where requested and appropriate.

Acupuncture

Richard Bragg has been using acupuncture for many years as part of a treatment option especially for arthritic and mobility based problems. Acupuncture involves placing special acupuncture needles in specific locations during an extended consultation. The treatment is very well accepted by dogs and cats. Initial course usually involves weekly treatments for 4 consecutive weeks and then an assessment is made as to the effectiveness of treatment and a plan discussed for any ongoing treatment. If you would like to discuss acupuncture as a possible treatment option for your pet please feel free to speak with Richard.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a safe, gentle therapy that can be used in many situations (on its own or alongside conventional treatments) for both first aid and more complex disease. The aim being to treat the patient as an individual.

Helen Bragg has undertaken extensive further study to become one of a very few fully qualified veterinary homeopaths in the UK and is very pleased to include this treatment option when requested. Helen uses a classical approach which involves a detailed homeopathic consultation to find the remedy to suit the individual patient.

Chiropractic treatment

Susan Warren-Cox has an additional qualification in veterinary chiropractic treatment and incorporates this treatment especially where patients have joint and mobility problems. Please contact Susan if you would like to discuss this option further.
