Why Choose Portishead Veterinary Centre?

Personal approach to care

Personal approach to care. See any one of our experienced vets of your choice at each visit to develop trust and understanding.

Excellent on site free parking.

All day appointments. Monday to Friday 9.00am to 7.30pm.

Saturday morning appointments. 8.30am to 12.00pm.

Personal 24 hour emergencies. We are always here for you. We are the only vets in the area where emergencies are always seen by our own vets and supported by our own nurses at our own surgery.

Overnight hospital facilities. Excellent hospitalisation facilities on site with 24 hour nurse attendance. Our dog and cat wards are separate and spacious.

Full operating and diagnostic services. Modern, purpose built surgical and diagnostic facilities including x-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy and dental equipment.

Specialist treatments. Treatment options always fully discussed. Vale Vets can offer specialist facilities based at our Dursley surgery including MRI scanning and referral clinicians in soft tissue surgery, cardiology and internal medicine.

Holistic approach. At Portishead several of our vets have obtained further qualifications in order to offer veterinary chiropractic treatment, acupuncture and homeopathy. Helen Bragg is one of only about 60 fully qualified veterinary homeopaths in the country.

Ambulance service. Vets or nurses can visit your pet at home. We can collect you and bring you and your pet to the surgery. Food and medicines can be delivered to your home.

Full time consulting nurse. Nail clipping, free weight and feeding advice, free senior pet care and advice. Free adolescent pet care and advice, free phone advice and post surgery care.

Regular free puppy parties and client information evenings.
